Tree Planting in Salem
Enclosed here is an invitation to plant olive trees in the fields of Kafer Salem (Salem Village), in stead of those burnt or uprooted by neighboring settlers. The planting would commence together with the people of Salem and of other villagers of the area. It would be greatly appreciated of anyone helping to spread the word and those Emails around. EVERYONE is welcomed to come. The IOF is notified of the action taking place, and is on guard to try and avert settlers violence. Donations assisting to finance this festive action will be greatly appreciated.
An Invitation For Tree Planting in Salem
For over fifteen months now we've been working together with the farmers of Salem to repair the damage done to their olive trees. The olive harvest is done with, most of the ground plowed, plentiful rains watered the ground, and its now time to replenish the trees damaged by settlers last year. We will keep the agricultural assistance going with the farmers of Salem, Di'r Chatib, and A'zmuut, and help insure with our presence that they would be able to farm their land and tend their herds in peace.
On Friday 2/02/07, the eve of Too-Bishvatt, we will join the farmers and the council of the village of Salem to A DAY OF PLANTING AND MEETING.
The public is invited to come to the olive groves of the village of Salem, on the rout to Cabir mountain, before noon. In case of rain, planting will move to next Friday (9/02/07).
